Khurram and Simal meet for the first time in Mallam Gabba when they were young.
Then we see Samal dealing with her evil sister and her inferiority complex on a daily basis, which is really sad. But, there is a feeling that "I've read this before".
Low on confidence and afraid to face a world that makes fun of her, Samal makes friends with books. Aren't we all like that? On her trips to the garden, children hand her roses and notes.
